2022 TNT Rules
1. Time limit for all contests shall be no new inning after 1 hour, 40 minutes. Only TNT Championship Game (#80) will have no time limit.
2. The International Tie Breaker Rule will be used in the 8th inning, or in any inning of a game when the time limit has expired, with the player scheduled to bat ninth in that half inning being placed on second base. All subsequent innings of ITB will begin with a runner on third base.
3. The mercy rule will apply if one team leads by 10 runs after 4 innings or 8 runs after 5 innings.
4. The team listed on top of the bracket will occupy the first base dugout.
5. A coin flip will determine home team for every TNT contest; designated home team will be the official scorebook.
6. Pre-game hitting practice will be permitted in available areas (not on the infields or where it many interfere with games in progress).
7. The NFHS Rule utilizing the "Flex Player" will be in effect, as will use of courtesy runners for the pitcher and catcher.
8. Nominees for the All-Tournament Team will be submitted by each team's coach. Please notify the Tournament Director of your selection(s) immediately after your final game. (Please see All-Tourney Guidelines sheet for eligibility).
10. ​All on-field rulings and rules interpretations are the sole discretion of the South Bay umpire crew working the contest, and are not protestable. Any questions regarding the TNT can be brought to the TNT Director.

11. Teams will be awarded a forfeit win if their opponent fails to field their team for any TNT contest.
INCLEMENT WEATHER RULES (If neccesary)
1. Every effort will be made to complete the tournament. Teams from other states and out of the area have priority in completing games. If necessary, games for South Bay and Orange County teams will be rescheduled for future dates and alternate sites to fulfill the schedule.
2. One or more of the following options may apply:
— Teams must be prepared to play at any time.
— Games may be limited to 5 innings or 1 hour, 15 minutes.
— Games will have a mercy rule of eight (8) runs after three (3) innings and six (6) runs after four (4) innings.
